At what age is a cat considered a senior?
Following the AAHA/AAFP feline life stage definitions, a cat is a senior from 11 years old. Ages 1-6 are young adult and 7-10 are mature adult. Ask your veterinarian how often your cat should have check-ups.
How do you convert a cat's age to human years?
The reference conversion counts the first year as about 15 human years and the second as about 24, then adds about 4 human years for every year after that. For kittens it is counted by month: about 1 at 1 month, 4 at 3 months and 10 at 6 months.
